The Forum for the Conservation of the Patagonian Sea participated in the III Congress of Protected Areas of Latin America and the Caribbean. The congress was held from October 14 through 17 in Lima, Peru.
The Forum developed 3 activities within the framework of the III CAPLAC with the objective of sharing experiences associated with networking, the regional approach and promoting the effectiveness of the management of Marine Protected Areas:
- Side Event: Regional initiatives for capacity building aimed at the effective management of Marine Protected Areas of the Southern Cone. Lessons learned from the School for the Management of Marine Protected Areas of the Southern Cone; training needs at regional level.
- Oral presentation: The Future of Conservation in the Patagonian Sea.
- Oral presentation: Capacity building, Networks and Integrated Management of MPA in the Southern Cone.
