Abstract for decision-makers on fisheries in the national marine protected areas (MPAs) of Argentina.

The eventual approval of industrial fishing management plans in the National Marine Reserves offers an opportunity for the effective application of the ecosystem-based approach to the activity. The use of best practices within the framework of adaptive management can minimize negative impacts on the ecosystem while generating useful knowledge for the improvement of the country’s fisheries.
