Marine Protected Areas, pollution of seas and coastal areas, and salmon farming were some of the themes discussed by the near 40 representatives from more than 20 civil society organizations from Argentina, Brazil, Chile and Uruguay from the integrated approach proposed by the Forum for the Conservation of the Patagonian Sea. The meeting took place during the 16th plenary session of the network, from 6 to 9 November in Mar del Plata. read more

The Forum for the Conservation of the Patagonian Sea backed the 3rd edition of the International Environmental Film Festival of Patagonia. Over four days, more than 4,000 spectators took part in this activity that aims at motivating audiences and generate debates, an idea synthesized as “see to raise awareness”. Same as in previous editions, all PEFF activities were free of charge. read more

In memoriam: Pablo Bordino
In memoriam: Pablo Bordino 350 251 The Forum for the Conservation of the Patagonian Sea
Pablo Bordino was a friend, mentor and guide for many members of the Forum. He left positive marks in all of them as well as in our Patagonian Sea. The study and conservation of Franciscana dolphin carried out by AquaMarina, an NGO founded and directed by him since 1998, sure was one of them. Pablo died on June 11, 2018 in the city of Pinamar, Buenos Aires. Since then, we miss him deeply, and we are inspired to keep honoring his legacy regarding marine conservation. read more
